Management Team
 | | Peter Mountford-Smith, BA (Hons), MBA, MCiH Chief Executive Peter is responsible for the overall leadership of the Association, and is responsible to the Board for carrying out its mission and achieving its strategic goals. His professional background includes homelessness and resettlement, housing management, housing policy, campaigning, training and consultancy, as well as organisational management. He spent several years as a local authority councillor and Chair of Housing, and served on the governing bodies of several housing associations. In addition to his role in MBHA, he was for several years a member of the national Board of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, and was until 2006 an associate lecturer with the Open University Business School. Contact: PeterM@mbha.org.uk | |  | | Pam Russell, CCA Corporate Services Director Pam heads the Finance, Business Services, Human Resources and Information & Communication Technology functions within the Association. Angela Taylor Business Development Director Angela Taylor leads our business development team, which focuses on the development of new housing and also remodelling older sheltered housing. The team also deals with wider action, tenant participation, and publicity. Before joining MBHA, Angela worked in housing development and asset management for Glasgow Housing Association, Home in Scotland, and Edinburgh Council. Contact: AngelaT@mbha.org.uk |  | | Chris Thomson, BSc (Hons) Operations Director Chris leads the housing management, customer service, maintenance and adaptations functions within the Association and has recently taken on our small works team. Additionally, his remit covers day-to-day, cyclical and long-term planned maintenance, remodelling older schemes, and designing and building new developments. Having held varied roles with other housing associations, including that of Depute Chief Executive and Housing Services Manager, Chris brings additional experience of providing housing for disabled people and has a particular interest in lifetime homes which evolve with the changing needs of the householder. These important services are in the process of major change resulting from a number of drivers and Jock brings particular interest, commitment and passion for person-centred services, partnership working and service user involvement. These passions are grounded in experience across a range of service provision from mental health nursing, housing association/voluntary sector support and most recently within a local authority at City of Edinburgh Council.
