Blackwood Court, Dundee

Blackwood Court is located in the west end of Dundee, close to Ninewells Hospital and is only a short journey from the city centre. Shops, health centres and schools are all close by. The first phase of the development was opened on 25th September 1976 by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. It was the first scheme of its kind by the Association and Phase 1 consists mainly of studio apartments and a small number of one, two and three bedroom properties. Phase 2 opened in 1985 and is mainly family-type accommodation. Altogether there are 70 properties within Blackwood Court.

The emphasis at Blackwood Court is on independent living. Tenants are encouraged to undertake all aspects of day-to-day living as far as they are able. For some, sheltered housing may be a first step towards complete independence.

Please note that services provided at Blackwood Court are currently under review. Information regarding the services on offer will be updated shortly.
