Cala Sona Court, Wishaw
| N.B. Due to remodelling we are not currently accepting applications for tenancy at Cala Sona Court. Built within spacious grounds and with a magnificent view over the Clyde Valley, Cala Sona Court is located about a mile and a half from Wishaw's town centre, which has many large shops, restaurants and other amenities. There are a number of local shops including a newsagent, Post Office, supermarket, hairdresser, and fish & chip shop/indian takeaway. A health centre, library, sports centre, swimming pool and primary and secondary schools are all nearby. A mobile library comes to Cala Sona once a week and we also have a visiting hairdresser. The scheme was completed in 1979 and has 35 self-contained flats of various sizes. The development has a communal lounge, laundry and guest bedrooms. There is a staff office. The building has three floors, all served by a lift. The emphasis at Cala Sona Court is on tenants being as independent as possible. Tenants are encouraged to undertake all aspects of day-to-day living tasks as far as they are able. For some, sheltered housing may be a first step towards independent living. Housing Services staff can advise on alternative housing options. Please note that services provided at Cala Sona Court are currently under review.
