Clyde Street/Swan Street, Denbeath

Image of Clyde Street, Denbeath

This development is located mainly in Clyde Street but also takes in properties in three adjoining streets, Swan Street, Tay Street and Ward Street. Within half a mile of the scheme you will find a broad range of shops, a bank, Post Office, library and dental surgery. The medical centre is about one and a half miles away.

Completed in 1992, the development consists of 20 houses and flats, 6 of which have been designed for wheelchair users. All properties are double glazed and have electric heating. The flats are fitted with door entry systems. Tenants who feel that they may be vulnerable can have their homes linked into the local authority Community Alarm system.

There are landscaped garden areas which are maintained by the Association.

Community Alarm System

There is an arrangement with the local council whereby tenants who consider that they are at risk may have their homes linked into this emergency care system.

Scheme Management and Maintenance

The whole scheme is managed from the Association's Edinburgh Housing Services Office, where the Maintenance Department is also based.

Applying for a House

If you would like to apply for a house, please make your application direct to our Housing Services Department in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. Additionally, please apply to the Housing Department of your local council, with whom we have a nomination agreement.

Our turnover of tenancies is low so, regrettably, waiting lists do apply.

Rent and Service Charges

Rents and service charges are normally reviewed on an annual basis. Service charges cover various services such as landscaping and the replacement of equipment. All tenants receive a detailed Service Charge Statement every year.
