Applying for a Tenancy

We work in partnership with many organisations to enable disabled people and their families to live as independently as possible in affordable housing in Scotland. We build and manage mixed-community developments designed to offer choice and satisfy individual needs.

All our housing developments have a mix of house types, some designed for disabled people, some for non-disabled people.

We accept direct applications for housing from anyone aged 16 or over. Applicants for housing in Edinburgh, should apply though Edindex, Edinburgh's Common Housing Register. You can request an Edindex form from City of Edinburgh Council on 0131 5295080 or from our Customer Service Team.

For an application pack for properties outwith Edinburgh, go to our Tenant Literature Library where you can download all three forms required to apply. Alternatively, please contact our Customer Services Team on 08457 125865 or e-mail us at feedback@mbha.org.uk

We seek nominations for housing on a regular basis from all councils in whose area we have houses. So if you are applying for housing to a Council, you can advise that you are interested in being nominated to Margaret Blackwood Housing Association.

If you are not limited by geography, neither are we. You are welcome to apply for a house on any of our developments, anywhere in Scotland.

We have a waiting list

Our tenancy turnover rate is very low and demand for our properties tends to be high so unfortunately there is a waiting list. If you have any questions while you are on the waiting list, please call our Customer Service Team on 08457 125865.
