Pensioners Row, Campbeltown
Pensioners Row is a listed building situated close to the harbour area of Campbeltown and is within a conservation area. The library, banks, building societies and dental surgery are within 300 yards and the health centre is close by. The Post Office, a choice of pubs and restaurants and a range of shops, including the a supermarket, are all less than half a mile away.
The building was completely refurbished by the Association in 1995. There are ten houses and flats in all, four suitable for wheelchair users, one for people with limited mobility and, on the first floor, five for older people. All properties are double-glazed and have Hydro-Electric Total Control heating. All of the flats on the first floor are linked into a door entry system. The gardens are maintained by the Association. Additionally, please apply to the Housing Department of your local council, with whom we have a nomination agreement. Our turnover of tenancies is low so, regrettably, waiting lists do apply. Rent and Service ChargesRents and service charges are normally reviewed on an annual basis. Service charges cover various services such as landscaping and the replacement of equipment.
