Major RepairsMargaret Blackwood Housing Association implements a rolling programme of major repairs. We will shortly be undertaking a stock condition survey to assess the condition of all of our properties to allow us to prioritise future repairs and replacements. Currently, we are tendering for work at several of our developments, many of which will be started by the end of the 2006/07 financial year. These include: - new kitchens and windows at John O'Hara Court, Falkirk
- new kitchens, windows and boilers at Hopefield Terrace/Argyll Street, Edinburgh
- new kitchens and windows at Nether Dechmont Cottages, Livingston
- new boilers at Blackwood Court, Dundee
- new windows at Greenhead Gardens, Dumbarton
- new kitchens, windows and boilers at Milton Street, Airdrie
- new kitchens, windows and boilers at Castle Street, Paisley
Also, major repair work has recently been carried out to several of our older housing developments. This work has included: - new kitchens and windows at Baker Street, Glasgow
- new kitchens and windows at Holton Square, Sauchie
- new kitchens, windows and boilers at Abbey Court, Edinburgh
- new windows and boilers at Laura Fergusson Court, Edinburgh
- new kitchens, windows and boilers at Broom Court, Stirling
- new windows at Kerrsland Road, Stranraer
Additionally, we have converted six old style bedsits at Broom Court, Stirling into four self contained one bedroom flats, as well as converting one house in the same development into a short break respite facility, fully designed for wheelchair users.
