Sumburgh Street is located on Edinburgh Road, between Cranhill and North Carntyne. The area is well served by public transport and is close to the M8 Motorway for easy access to Glasgow city centre, Edinburgh and Stirling. Within half a mile of the development are some local shops, including a mini-market, banks and the Post Office. A major supermarket is just over a mile away at Parkhead Forge. The medical centre is 300 yards away and the dental practice just over half a mile. Shettleston Library is a mile away.

Completed in 1992, Sumburgh Street consists of 24 flats. All properties are double glazed and have electric white meter storage heating. There is ample parking for tenants and visitors. Properties designed for wheelchair users have carports and charging facilities for electric wheelchairs.

Scheme Management and Maintenance

Sumburgh Street is managed from the Association's Glasgow Housing Services Office whilst the Maintenance Department is based in the Edinburgh Office.

Applying for a House

If you would like to apply for a house, please make your application direct to our Housing Services Department in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. Additionally, please apply to the Housing Department of your local council, with whom we have a nomination agreement.

Our turnover of tenancies is low so, regrettably, waiting lists do apply.

Rent and Service Charges

Rents and service charges are normally reviewed on an annual basis. Service charges cover various services such as landscaping and the replacement of equipment. All tenants receive a detailed Service Charge Statement every year.
