Margaret Blackwood Housing Association has expanded the roles of two of its managers.

Sharon Brady-Wardrope, the Maintenance Manager, adds long-term planned maintenance to her previous responsibilities for day-to-day repairs, cyclical maintenance, property improvements and preparing vacated properties for incoming tenants.

Development Manager Colin McLean, who has led the busiest Adaptations team in Scottish social housing for some years now, takes new-build projects, defects management and an ambitious remodelling programme for older schemes within his remit.

Chris Thomson, MBHA’s recently appointed Technical Services Director, told us: “Over the next few years, the Association has a very demanding new build, remodelling and planned maintenance agenda. We intend to be ever more innovative in our approach to accessible housing design and have set ourselves the challenge of constantly improving our service to our tenants. Sharon and Colin, with their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm, will make an enormous contribution to us reaching our goals.”
