Margaret Blackwood restructures repairs service
| Margaret Blackwood Housing Association has reacted to feedback from tenants by radically changing their reactive repairs provision. In recent years, we have found the challenge of providing a consistent service across all 29 local authority areas in mainland Scotland difficult, said Operations Director Chris Thomson. Splitting the country geographically, in each area we have partnered with a single contractor who can provide a responsive multi-trade service to our tenants twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Association has appointed - Morris & Spottiswood, covering Glasgow and the West Coast of Scotland from Fort William down to Stranraer
- Enterprise, operating in the Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee triangle, and
- Response Building Maintenance Services (Scotland), looking after the Scottish Borders, the Lothians, Edinburgh, Fife, and into Dundee which they will share with Enterprise.
Chris Thomson added, We believe our tenants will see real benefits from this restructuring and our aim now is reassess our targets to drive down response times even further.
