Tweedbridge Court celebrates 30 years

Tweedbridge Court, Margaret Blackwood Housing Associations development which provides specially designed housing for disabled people in Peebles, has celebrated its 30th Anniversary. Tweedbridge Court was officially opened by Sir Robert Scott, Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale, on 19th August, 1978. Tenants, guests and members of the Associations staff came together for a lovely buffet lunch to celebrate the birthday a special thank you to Anne, Wilma, Kendra and Ann for putting on such a great spread and making sure everyone was well looked after. After some poignant reminiscences by Bert Ferguson, chair of the Tweedbridge Court Registered Tenants Association, and some funny stories by Housing Support Officer David Ridgway, a beautiful commemorative cake was cut by tenant Joyce Caldwell.
