New directors for Margaret Blackwood Housing Association

Margaret Blackwood Housing Association has appointed Chris Thomson as Technical Services Director. Leading the Technical Services team, Chris's remit covers maintenance, redeveloping older schemes, and the design and build of new developments. Chris brings additional experience of providing housing for disabled people and he has a particular interest in lifetime homes which evolve with the changing needs of the householder.
Danny Harvie has joined the Association as Care Services Director on secondment from Elcap, the East Lothian-based organisation that offers respite, housing support and care-at-home. Danny has experience in healthcare, social care and regulation and inspection. He is using his placement with Margaret Blackwood to learn about how housing associations operate in providing care and support in Scotland. While he will be supporting the work of our housing support and care teams, Danny thinks that experience of working in a dispersed national service will help him in his planning and development work with Elcap. Lesley McInnes, the Associations recently appointed Care & Housing Director, has left to take up the role of Chief Executive with West Highland Housing Association. For further information, contact Paul Leighton, Publicity & Communications Officer, telephone: 0131 317 0117, email PaulL@mbha.org.uk at Margaret Blackwood Housing Association 27th March 2006
