Minerva Housing Association has completed the transfer of its 18-property complex at Ardfin Court in Prestwick to Margaret Blackwood Housing Association.
The complex consists of 17 self-contained flats for people with supported tenancies plus an office for the support team.
Pamela Paterson, Chair of Minerva Housing Association, told us, With Margaret Blackwoods long experience in providing housing for people across the whole disability spectrum, transferring our properties to them was a logical step. We know that they are absolutely committed to the long-term interests of our tenants and will continue with the original aim of Minerva to provide suitable housing for adults with learning disabilities.
Grant Carson, Chair of Margaret Blackwood Housing Association, said, We warmly welcome everyone at Ardfin Court as tenants of MBHA. We have effectively been managing the properties for the last several months so we are confident that the transfer of tenancies will be seamless for everyone concerned.
Turning Point continues to provide support services to the tenants.
Margaret Blackwood Housing Association has nearly 1,600 properties across mainland Scotland, 60% of which have been specially designed and adapted to enable disabled people lead independent lives.
