Your Tenant Participation Officers

Ainan Groat

Hello! I’m Ainan Groat, and I started working with Margaret Blackwood Housing Association as Tenant Participation Officer in April 2006. Based in Edinburgh I work 2½ days per week, job-sharing with Lynne and I work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Previously, I worked as a Housing Officer for Edinvar, Muirhouse Housing Association and then Hunters Hall Housing Co-op in Niddrie. Before that, my job in Wester Hailes was to set up and support tenants groups.

Lynne Marshall

Hi, I'm Lynne Marshall and I started work with the Association in March 2007 as part time Tenant Participation Officer, and I'll normally be working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. I started my career with Aberdeen City Council and have previously worked with Castlehill and Hanover Housing Associations in addition to having already worked for Margaret Blackwood in the 1990’s.

We are based in Edinburgh but travel all over Scotland to support tenants groups. We make every effort to use only accessible venues and do everything we can to support tenants with particular needs, whether you need sign language interpreters, large print or audio information. Many of our tenants panels are also done by post or phone so even if you cannot leave your house you can still participate!

If there is anything that you want to say or do or if you would like to get more involved, then please contact us by phone on 0131 317 0106 or email at tpo@mbha.org.uk
