Below are awards that Blackwood holds. They demonstrate the commitment we have as an organisation to our aims and values:
  

Positive About Disabled People

We have held the Two Ticks disability symbol since 1998. This symbol shows that we are formally recognised as being "positive about disabled people."

Two TicksThe symbol is awarded by Job Centre Plus to employers that have made commitments to employ, keep and develop the abilities of disabled. We are audited every year based on 5 commitments:

  • Recruitment
  • Training
  • Retention
  • Consultation
  • Disability awareness
      

IIP LogoInvestors in People Award 

We have held the Investors In People (IIP) award since 1999. This shows our commitment to business improvement by using the IIP Framework. The framework looks at the 39 evidence requirements which make up the ‘Plan, Do, Review' cycle. In 2010 we were delighted to receive additional recognition and were awarded the Bronze IIP award for going beyond the standards required.
