The Blackwood Foundation works to support and enhance independent living. 

Superior design, either in the home environment or in relation to goods and products, has a significant impact on independence and quality of life.  Similarly, technology systems and devices also have the potential to make a significant contribution to independent living.

To achieve excellence in the design and development process the end users have to be engaged and involved.  People have to be at the start and the heart of the process.  The Blackwood Foundation will make this happen.

Working with designers, developers, technology companies, and most importantly end users, the Blackwood Foundation seeks to be a catalyst to drive forward innovations in design and technology which improve people's lives.
