Goals

Person Centred Services

Our goal is to develop and deliver inclusive and personalised models of support that increase people's choices, potential and independence. We will always work in partnership to achieve this we always strive to:

  • View people as equal and valued citizens
  • Work together with individuals family and friends to work out the right support for each person
  • Maximise each person's gifts, capacity and contribution to their communities
  • Be creative and innovative in building a good life for each person
  • Support people to achieve their dreams and aspirations, not wrap them in restrictive services

Growth

We are committed to expanding our excellent care and support services so that we can support more people to live in their own homes and to live life as they choose.

We have expanded our support services beyond our own developments and into the wider community. This means we are providing flexible, highly individualised support for more people in ways that they have decided for themselves. We have also:

  • recruited an experienced services development manager to oversee business growth and service development under our support services director
  • reshaped our local management structures to underpin our growth strategy whilst maintaining the quality of our services
  • restructured our Human Resources department so that we can ensure our care and support staff are supported and equipped to deliver the best quality care

Care Homes

At our care unit at Broom Court, in Stirling, we recently completed a successful pilot where we consulted closely with residents to convert six bedsits into four modern, fully independent one-bedroom flats. The pilot showed that we could fully support the residents throughout the change and, afterwards, provide exactly the same high levels of care in their new flats, delivered by the care workers they liked and trusted.

The residents became tenants of their own homes, giving them greater rights and security and access to a wider range of benefits. The four tenants have been delighted with their new homes and tenant status. As a result of the pilot, we now have long-term plans to convert all our care unit accommodation over the coming years.
