Care & Support Services
Our Care and Support Services are consistently recognised by the Care Commission in their inspection regime as providing the highest quality care in a an environment which recognises the contribution staff make to the well being and independence of service users.
We provide services in most major cities in Scotland and work in several rural areas too. At Blackwood we are working to provide services which recognise individual requirements rather than a "one size fits all" approach. Staff take time to understand people's needs, choices and aspirations and help them document how these will be achieved. We work in partnership with other agencies to ensure that we work collaboratively to support service users. This could be in their own homes or in one of our specially designed care and support establishments.
Housing Services
With over 1600 properties, we employ housing and maintenance staff in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh within our Housing Services Directorate. Our Housing and Property Assistants are in day to day contact with tenants, speaking to them about issues such as repairs, rent queries and neighbourhood relationships. Our officers are frequently out and about making sure the service we deliver meets or exceeds expectations.
Development
The Development Directorate focuses on identifying and delivering new business and regeneration opportunities for the business. They deliver complex and varied projects from inception to completion using an innovative and creative approach. Work closely with stakeholders, tenants and colleagues to ensure that productive partnerships are created and maintained. Please see our Development page for more information.
Corporate Services
Our Corporate Services Directorate is made up of our supporting functions including; Admin, Business Services, Finance, Human Resources and Information Communication Technology. These departments are primarily based in Edinburgh and provide vital support to the front facing Directorates of Care & Support Services, Business Development and Housing Services.
