This is currently to comply with Safer Recruitment requirements set out by the Care Commission. We do not carry out pre employment screening for all groups of staff. The purpose of pre-employment screening is to ensure that care and support staff are not recruited to jobs which could adversely affect their physical and mental health. Yes. We are happy for applicants who have gone through our interview process to ask for feedback, we want to provide some benefit from the interview experience whatever the outcome. We generally prefer to do this verbally to ensure the message is conveyed in the right way.
Reluctantly, and due to cost, we don't write back to all applicants with feedback on your application. If you have not heard back from us 4 weeks after the closing date of the post you applied for, you should assume that you have not been successful.
We do sometimes have casual/relief positions available in our units and within our services. These posts are primarily to provide a bank of staff to cover holidays and other absences. To find out about opportunities in your area, please complete the application form stating the area in which you wish to work and we will let you know if there is a relief position available. By agreement, we can keep your application for a limited time until a suitable position does become available. Alternatively, please feel free to contact any of our services directly to see if there are any relief opportunities in your area before submitting an application.

That said, we do have some common sense guidance and requirements that we expect our staff to follow.
