Our Development team have acquired a wealth of experience over this time in developing housing for wheelchair users, people with limited mobility, the elderly and those with general housing needs. Our staff have a wide range of professional expertise and qualifications, ranging from engineering, surveying and architecture.
The Rowan Group
Blackwood is a members of the Rowan Group, a consortium group of housing associations providing affordable and innovative housing and support for those with low incomes and/or specialist needs in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. The Rowan Group were recently chosen by the City of Edinburgh Council as preferred partners for development grant funding in the city. The group has considerable experience and specialist expertise in providing excellent quality housing and relevant, sensitive support services for people with a wide range of needs.

We are looking specifically for sites that are:
- residential
- reasonably flat or on a slight slope
- close to amenities such as shops and a post office
- close to public transport links
- close to services
