Calder Place is located just off the Wester Hailes Road on the west side of Edinburgh and very close to the City Bypass.
Completed in 2008, the 18 flats are arranged in two blocks, one of three storeys and the other of four. Thirteen of the flats are designed for people with general housing needs and are accessed via one of two common stairways. There is also a lift serving the four-storey block.
There are three flats designed around the needs of wheelchair users and two for people with limited mobility. All five of these flats are on the ground floor with front doors giving direct access to the street.
The flats all have full double-glazing, gas-fired central heating and a high level of thermal insulation. Each has an entry phone for tenant security. There is a small, enclosed garden and drying area to the rear of the development.
3 two-bedroom flats, suitable for up to three people
The area is served well by public transport with Lothian Buses providing services from the nearby Calder Road and Wester Hailes Road.
There are many amenities and services available in this area. For more information on topics such as public transport, schools and leisure please visit the City of Edinburgh Council website and/or the UpMyStreet website.
Calder Place is managed from the Association's Edinburgh Office, where the Maintenance Department is also based.
