
Laura Fergusson Court is situated in the residential area of East Craigs, to the west of the city. The scheme was completed in 1979 and has 59 self-contained flats of various sizes. The development also has a communal lounge, laundry and two guest bedrooms. There is also a staff office. The main building is on three floors, all of which are served by a lift.
The emphasis at Laura Fergusson Court is on tenants being as independent as possible. Tenants are encouraged to undertake all aspects of day-to-day living tasks as far as they are able. For some, sheltered housing may be a first step towards independent living. Housing Services staff can advise on alternative housing options.
