Laura Fergusson Court is situated in the residential area of East Craigs, to the west of the city.  The scheme was completed in 1979 and has 59 self-contained flats of various sizes. The development also has a communal lounge, laundry and two guest bedrooms. There is also a staff office. The main building is on three floors, all of which are served by a lift.

The emphasis at Laura Fergusson Court is on tenants being as independent as possible. Tenants are encouraged to undertake all aspects of day-to-day living tasks as far as they are able. For some, sheltered housing may be a first step towards independent living. Housing Services staff can advise on alternative housing options.

Local taxi firms have vehicles adapted to accommodate wheelchair users. The area is well connected to bus routes provided by Lothian Buses.

Laura Fergusson Court is managed from the Association's Edinburgh Office, where the Maintenance Department is also based.
