In 2008 Blackwood, then Margaret Blackwood Housing Association, was inspected by the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) and given a ‘fair' grading and an improvement plan listing points to address where services could be improved.
Three years on, Blackwood has come out the other side of a steep learning curve in excellent shape. Root and branch changes have taken hold in the organisation and the SHR has not only signed off on the improvement planning process, it has welcomed progress and praised Blackwood for working opening and constructively.
