Mill Street, Ayr

Mill Street is very close to Ayr town centre. Within 500 yards of the development is the dental surgery, Post Office, banks and building societies, a good range of shops including a supermarket, and a choice of pubs and restaurants. The library is 700 yards away and the health centre just over one and a half miles.

Completed in 1988, the development consists of nine flats designed for wheelchair users and ten upstairs flats. There is also a communal lounge and laundry. All properties are double-glazed and have gas central heating. Upstairs flats are fitted with door entry systems.

The garden area is maintained by the Association.

Scheme Management and Maintenance

Mill Street is managed from the Association's Glasgow Housing Services Office whilst the Maintenance Department is based in the Edinburgh Office.

Applying for a House

If you would like to apply for a house, please make your application direct to our Housing Services Department in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. Additionally, please apply to the Housing Department of your local council, with whom we have a nomination agreement.

Our turnover of tenancies is low so, regrettably, waiting lists do apply.

Rent and Service Charges

Rents and service charges are normally reviewed on an annual basis. Service charges cover various services such as landscaping and the replacement of equipment. All tenants receive a detailed Service Charge Statement every year.
